ANTI-TRUST

GPTEC 2018 shall be conducted in accordance with the relevant competition and anti-trust laws.

Attendees shall not enter into any discussion, activity or conduct that may infringe any applicable law.

Attendees are reminded not to, directly or indirectly, engage in anti-competitive conduct, including: price fixing; restrictive covenants; misuse of market power such as predatory pricing; exclusive dealing; resale price maintenance; or any other conduct which substantially lessens competition.

This applies not only to discussions at the conference but also to informal discussions before and during the conference. Should the conference discuss matters that are considered to be breach of competition law, the Organising Committee will close the meeting.

CATERING

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be available during the conference in the exhibition area and is included in your registration fee.

CONDITIONS

International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd reserves the right to deny entry and/or terminate the registration of any person who demonstrates behaviour that International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd deems to be inappropriate and/or a risk to others.

CURRENCY

All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.

DELEGATE LIST

An attendee list will be supplied to all attendees including exhibitors and partners. If you do not wish to have your details on the delegate list please ensure you indicate this on your registration form.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Please note any dietary requirements when registering for the conference. All dietary requirements will be forwarded to the venue.

DRESS CODE

The dress code throughout the conference is neat casual. The dress code for each function is indicated in the function description on the Social Program page.

DUPLICATION/RECORDING

Unauthorised photography, audio taping, video recording, digital taping or any other form of duplication is strictly prohibited in conference sessions.

ELECTRICITY

The electrical supply is 240 volts, 50Hz. The connection for appliances is a flat 3-pin plug of unique design. Most hotels provide 110 volt outlets for shavers.

EXHIBITION

The exhibition will be located in Hall L on the ground floor.

GST INFORMATION

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a broad-based ten percent tax included in the shelf price of most Australian goods and services. The Tourist Refund Scheme allows international travellers to claim a GST refund (subject to certain conditions) on goods purchased in Australia. The refund only applies to items worn or goods taken on board as hand luggage when leaving the country.

IMMIGRATION INFORMATION

Travellers to Australia need a valid passport or similar certificate of identification. Everyone, except travellers with Australian and New Zealand passports, requires a visa. You may ask your travel agent for advice or to have them organise your visa.

INSURANCE

The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out personal insurance, including cover for travel, accommodation and personal possessions. Neither the network of Regional Training Organisations nor International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd covers individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of the conference or for theft or damage to belongings.

LIABILITY

In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters, the network of Regional Training Organisations and International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by the delegates.

Nor can the network of Regional Training Organisations and International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd take responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the conference or associated activities. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.

MESSAGES

A message board will be located near the registration desk. Please check here for all conference updates and messages as they will not be personally delivered.

MOBILE PHONES

Delegates are asked to set their mobile phones to silent when in sessions.

NAME BADGES AND LANYARDS

Name badges will be issued when registering at the conference. For security purposes the conference name badge must be worn at all times during the conference and social functions. Entry may be denied if no name badge is displayed.

PRIVACY

International Conferences & Events (ICE) Pty Ltd will gather and record personal information necessary for your attendance at the Conference. Personal information will be gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.

PROGRAM

Every endeavour has been made to produce an accurate program. The program is correct at time of printing.

REGISTRATION DESK

The registration desk will be located on the ground level near the plenary room and exhibition.

SECURITY

Please ensure that you take all items of value with you at all times when leaving a room. Do not leave bags or laptop computers unattended.

SMOKING

The conference and social functions are non-smoking.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Please note any special requirements for example mobility or sight, when registering for the conference. All special requirements will be forwarded to the venue.
